A Special Letter to the Parents of
Teenagers
Over the years, we have proudly been able to motivate and guide our pediatric
patients to their teenage years with few if any cavities. Sadly, our experience
has shown that a significant number of these same patients reach their teens
only to develop multiple cavities possibly due to a change in their oral care
habits and/or diet.
We are therefore strongly encouraging the application of a topical fluoride at
every check up. If you have dental insurance please be aware that the insurance
industry standard does not provide benefits for Fluoride Treatment after age 13.
Please advise us if you wish this for your young adult.
